Planting in Gulf Shores, AL

This September 29, 2025, POCACITO led a planting activity with students and teachers from Gulf Shores High School and our friends at Mississippi State University Coastal Research & Extension Center who also contributed the plants: smooth cordgrass (spartina alterniflora) and black needle rush (juncus roemerianus).

The activity was made possible with a grant by the Tri-City Community Foundation, an Affiliate of The Community Foundation of South Alabama.
